Hello, I am Melissa O'Carroll, a native of Richmond, Virginia. Growing up in Chesterfield County I graduated from Manchester High School and later attended and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University.
I designed my bachelor's degree according to my passions, dance and healing sciences. Post-grad, feeling unfulfilled, I decided to attend a certification program in Massage Therapy at American Spirit Institute in Richmond. The whole process, from wary beginning to successful completion, was an introduction to a different world.
As a certified massage therapist (CMT) I had the opportunity to work for an amazing chiropractic practice. I also taught massage and treated my own clients.
An opportunity to attend aesthetics school presented itself at American Spirit Institute in Williamsburg, VA, and I jumped in enthusiastically. Upon successful completion of the program, I immediately passed Delaware's state boards; Virginia did not require licensure at that time.
Since then, I have embraced skincare and loved every step of the process. I enjoy giving treatments, educating clients and expanding my horizons in all things skin. Having practiced all around Richmond, each experience has been rich in knowledge, training, new techniques and above all, relationships that I cherish. Opening my own business is the ultimate experience for me, truly.
